These sodium yttrium (gadolinium/lutetium/neodymium):ytterbium,erbium,neodymium@sodium yttrium fluoride:ytterbium,neodymium upconverting nanomaterials (UCNMs) are advanced multi-layered systems for efficient green/red upconversion. The inclusion of Gd/Lu/Nd in the host lattice provides tunable material density and physical properties for research applications. The core-shell structure is specifically optimized to facilitate energy transfer from the Nd-sensitized shell to the Yb/Er-active core.
