Description
These polyacrylic acid (PAA) modified NaYF4:Yb/Er@NaYF4:Nd core-shell upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) utilize neodymium (Nd) in the shell to enable 808 nm excitation. The PAA coating provides a high density of carboxyl groups and ensures excellent water solubility for the particles. The core-shell design facilitates efficient energy transfer from the Nd-doped shell to the Yb/Er core, reducing thermal heating during laser excitation.
