Description
These polyethylene glycol (PEG) functionalized NaY(Gd/Lu/Nd):Yb,Tm@NaYF4:Yb,Nd upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) are water-soluble materials protected by a polymer shell. The PEG modification ensures high dispersibility in polar solvents and prevents particle aggregation through steric hindrance. The blue-emitting core-shell inorganic structure is optimized for energy transfer from the Nd-doped shell to the blue-emitting core.
