Description
These polyethylenimine (PEI) functionalized core-shell upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) consist of a luminescent core-shell fluoride matrix surface-modified with a layer of branched polyethylenimine polymer. The composition provides an abundance of amino groups and a strong positive surface charge that ensures stable dispersion in aqueous environments. The structure is designed to be a versatile platform for the electrostatic adsorption of diverse anionic molecules and materials.
