Properties
Description
These polyethylenimine (PEI) functionalized upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) are rare-earth doped fluoride crystals modified with a layer of branched polyethylenimine to achieve a high positive surface charge. The composition is designed for immediate dispersion in water where the pei chains provide both steric and electrostatic stabilization. The resulting structure is particularly suited for studies requiring a high density of primary and secondary amine groups on the nanoparticle surface.
