Description
These polyethylenimine (PEI) modified NaYF4:Yb/Er@NaYF4 core-shell upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) feature a bright inorganic core-shell structure stabilized by a branched cationic polymer. The undoped NaYF4 shell minimizes surface quenching, significantly enhancing the green and red emission intensity. The PEI modification introduces abundant primary and secondary amine groups, resulting in a strong positive surface charge.
