Description
These polysaccharide modified water-soluble rare-earth upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) are coated with natural sugars such as starch or cellulose derivatives. The coating provides a hydrophilic and biocompatible interface that enhances the colloidal stability of the particles in aqueous media. The rare-earth core remains photostable, providing sharp emission peaks that are ideal for high-contrast detection.
