Description

These silica coated upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs-SiO₂) consist of a rare-earth doped fluoride core encapsulated within a uniform layer of amorphous silicon dioxide. The silica shell provides excellent chemical stability and protects the core from environmental quenching factors in various solvents. The thickness of the SiO₂ layer is precisely controlled during the sol-gel synthesis process to ensure uniform particle size.
