Description
These tetrazine modified water-soluble upconverting nanoparticles (TZ-UCNPs) are surface-functionalized with tetrazine groups for bio-orthogonal "click" chemistry. The tetrazine moiety reacts rapidly and specifically with strained alkenes such as trans-cyclooctene (TCO) in laboratory systems. These particles maintain their optical brightness and water solubility, providing a high-contrast signal for modular chemical synthesis.
