GNF 5837, soluble in DMSO and warmed ethanol and insoluble in water, blocks the activity of tropomyosin receptor kinases, which are involved in the growth and survival of neurons. It targets TrkA, TrkB, Abl, ALK, CSF-1R, FGFR3, FGFR4, FLT3, IGF-1R, Insulin receptor, and JAK2.
