Description

These ytterbium-doped (Yb³⁺ doped) upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) are inorganic crystals primarily doped with Yb as a sensitizer for near-infrared light absorption. The Yb³⁺ ions harvest excitation energy and transfer it to co-doped activator ions within the host lattice. These particles are characterized by their high absorption cross-section at 980 nm and exceptional chemical durability.
